Wow this thread has turned from someone sharing a defect with their new iPad Pro, to a dog-pile on people who even suggest that there is possibly a problem with defects on the 10.5. The choice-supportive bias is strong among some people here. “Oh well I got a perfect one so therefore the idea lot of people didn’t is absolutely false! This is the best thing since sliced bread!”

The concern is not someone can't receive an iPad with a defect. It happens. When a product is mass produced into the Millions, defects will occur, its inevitable.

The real concern Is when someone makes a claim that Apple has "Zero quality control", there is nothing truthful in a statment like that. That's showing someone putting emotion into a situation they are upset with over a product. Everyone here knows Apple makes the best products and if they didn't, they wouldn't be a billion dollar company that trumps all other competitor products in software and hardware. Just my opinion of course.

You BET there's emotion involved buddy!
Several trips to an Apple Store trying to be faithful to a brand I've used and supported since my college days in the 80's... Absolutely. And yes Apple has ZERO qc.

That simply is not so. Just saying any electronic device can be defective. Apple did not get where they are today by selling defective products. There will always be some defects and Apple will be more than happy to take care of it.
Yes it is simply so. I got slammed for my opinion and beliefs that Apple has zero qc most notably on iOS devices. I've never had a defective Mac since 1985. With iOS devices every single purchase in the past 10 years has been replaced and/or returned defective. EVERY one.

So you had a poor experience , but can you honestly tell me no other company would provide you the service that Apple can and make the situation right?

But again, your predicament doesn't speak for the other millions of Apple Products used daily by others. Do you truly think Apple would be rated successful as they are if they sold iPads with "Zero quality control?"

I can understand your frustration, but no other company will meet the standards that Apple does.

I had a small internal scratch on one of the corners of my 10.5. Visable in direct light, but otherwise hard to detect but it most certainly was there.

Went to Apple Store where I bought it and got a new one. First time for me to have to do this.

Yes, I went back and read some of your hundreds of posts and I can see how you would be "slammed".

If you think Apple is so bad, why are you still buying it?

I certainly didn’t say they had zero quality control, and looking back I can’t find anyone who did say that.

I didn't say you stated that, when I was referring to previous posts in this thread. Read further back, it was stated twice in this thread that "Apple has "Zero quality control" in post #11 And #27, Which was Referring to the iPad 10.5 and Apple as a company.

Taking this back to the Apple Store, but thought I would share. I've had just about all the iPads going back to the original and have never had an issue. The 10.5 iPad in the picture is a replacement after the first one was replaced last week due to a dark bruise on the upper hand corner of the screen. And now the replacement iPad seen in the picture developed this think black line in the screen while I was using it, which does not go away no matter what I do. Did force restart, as well as restore - still there. Hopefully the third time is the charm.
You'll have to get that one replaced. That's a hardware fault.
