Student loans for an extra degree you don't need or from a school a bit out of your price range? A car which has too much horsepower or renders you too many speeding tickets? A house you bought at the height of the bubble? An item of clothing with a prestigious tag which you find you never wear? The last fast food visit which turned into an ER visit?

Tell us your stories or show us pictures.

Mine is an ER visit from the sour cream nachos after I found out the hard way that I was lactose intolerant so I won't show pictures. Doc said I didn't have food poisoning because I was in too much pain and this type of pain accompanies lactose intolerance not food poisoning...gee thanks, Doc. ;)

I did buy the below pair of ultra weather proof hiking boots for $190. I don't hike anymore and I live in a drought area where it rains very little. Stupid purchase for a nice item with no context in my life. I used to collect guitars and had 60 over the years and that was money truly wasted, and when I reverted to one or two, I actually focused on playing and became a decent guitar player. Almost every collector of guitars either does not play, and if they do, they suck. I would read about rock star collections, and I knew something was off when I found I had more than them. :)

Ecco footwear is awesome! I wear a pair to work every day and won't buy anything else. Definitely worth the price. Sorry you couldn't use them!

My bad purchase was a Nintendo Wii. I bought the sytem, a couple of DDR pads, Rockband and some games. I've used it maybe 5x and need to get it sold. So if you know anyone...lol.

A contract with 3 mobile.

Was meant to be £20/month. Ended up at £45/month for **** awful service, the worst CS I've ever had (I was both lied to and shouted at) and an unparalleled lack of value for money.

I should have just said screw it, stuck with pay as you go and used skype. Cost me a fortune.

I won't touch any sort of fixed term contract with a barge pole now.

There are a stack of CDs I wish I'd never bought, back in the days when I bought what Radio 1 told me to. I didn't enjoy them when they were new, let alone now.

Astro A40 gaming headset for $200. Great headset, nothing to complain about. Only thing is they broke and the wires got sensitive. Told them about it and sent them back for them to replace the parts I needed. Although they didn't replace one wire I needed. And So I just let them collect dust. Now my mom is hassling me so I will get them replaced soon.

I have a love/hate relationship with this thing (mostly hate), so I'm going to go ahead and post it here.

Heck, I will trade you. ;)

I don't mind Ecco as a company so much and I should have bought one of many walking shoes they make. I didn't need to buy this super heavy duty boot which still looks new, and probably would even if I wore them. I got far more use and comfort from a $100 pair of Carolina work boots. It was half the price and just as sturdy and it conformed to my feet rather quickly. The Ecco, being so heavy, takes much longer to break in, and even then I prefer the Carolinas.

Usually when it comes to footwear, I do prefer a European made or designed brand over an American brand, but those Carolinas were just the right combination of toughness and comfort. I had them ten years. When a hundred dollar pair of long term boots can do the job of a two hundred dollar pair, which do you think I will get next time if the need arises?

Damn things cut up the back of my heel while playing basketball. Thank God I bought some Low Cut Hyperdunks alongside these awful shoes.

An original X-Box. Played it about 15 times, and then it got stuck in a cupboard because it took up too much room.

I had to think really hard and couldn't come up with any thing. The only thing I could even remotely think of is an Extra big mac, when all I wanted one (Mcdonalds coupon advertising works on me too well )

I thought that *maybe* I regreted buying used lowering springs and stiffer shocks for my car and found out that the rear shocks were bad, but really I don't regret it at all. I had fun installing them and learned quite a bit. This is usually how all my poor purchases turn out for me, there is usually some positive experience that I don't regret:cool:

I agree - when you find a good pair it's hard to go anywhere else. I have a pair of Vasque Sundowners that are 15 years old (I only wear them in the winter when it snows a lot) and I love them. When I worked at Track-n-Trail in my teens I would see guys bring in their own Sundowners to be resoled. Man some of those pairs looks abused!
