I use a 16e now - it's "excitement level" is about the same as the two flagships I've used (13 and 8 Plus), which is ok by me. Going to a flagship device wouldn't be the cure for Eyefoan fatigue - so I understand if you went to Android. For me, however, I'm going to stay with Apple - which may not be exciting, but sure as heck works!
If the Iphone Ultra comes out this year and it is able to be leased at a reasonable rate, I could very well end up getting that instead of switching to an Android Phone.

Would be nice to own something that that has literally never existed before.

If I return to iPhone, will be probably with an e series. It would be awesome to see a 90hz screen at least..

Maybe at the end of the year I will give my Pixel to my GF and get an iPhone but still not sure. The Pixel is working amazing

For me the only thing that holds me back is the concerns I have about RCS messaging and group chats between android and iphone users. The rest of my family are all iphone users, so I would be the only android user in the group chats.

And no, I'm not interested in Whatsapp, Signal, etc, I would be using Google Messages in that case.
I'm the sole Android user among my circle of iPhone friends and family and no issues with RCS nor group chats.

I don't use WhatsApp either (nor Instagram, X, or TikTok for that matter). Google Messages is great and provides a web interface to access messages on my Macbook.

There isn't anything particularly special about iPhones so I ditched iOS years ago. I actually miss my Apple Watch more than my iPhone.
