I happened to be at Target and saw the Soundsport Free's on sale for $199 so I naturally grabbed a pair. Upon preliminary testing, the fit is great, even better than the Soundsport Wireless that I have. The sound is amazing and the lack of a cord feels so much better!

In my opinion the AirPods are better then the Bose in just about every catageory. The Bose definitely sound better and have more bass. The Bose also have volume controls. Other than that AirPods are just a better package with more battery life, easier to use, cheaper. The Bose are still plagued with technical and reliability issues. AirPods are flawless and never fail, have amazing range and connectivity.

My opinion has completely changed about the Bose. I was able to get a pair that had no technical issues so far. Also since they are on sale now they are a lot more affordable. Sound quality is amazing, fit is great never have to worry about them falling out. It’s nice to have actual controls instead of gestures.

I concur so far. Music sounds great and they stay in my ears. I would prefer dual headset for phone calls but it works fine with Playstation Vue app and I never use the Youtube app. I still probably would have stuck it out with my Soundsport Wireless, but the Free is working well so far!

If you purchased them with a credit card, many (American Express, Visa Signature, Discover) double the manufacturer warranty.

Extended warranties are more apt to cover accidental not just what the manufacturer covers.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by my new AirPods. The sound quality to price ratio is very poor. Never returned an apple product before, this will be my first I think. Might check out the Bose too.

I returned mine for the same reason. I tested both the QC35II and the B&W PX.

Keeping the PX... great build quality and fantastic sounding cans.

That being said, I ended up paying more lol.

Oh FYI, the highly rated Sony’s are $50 off right now at Best Buy and Amazon.

I took my AirPods to a Genius Bar today. Apparently part of the reason they sounds so crappy is that they are faulty (too quiet, slightly muffled). They're replacing them, just waiting for the three parts to be delivered. We'll see...

Got my replacement AirPods and new ones are great. Much louder and clearer sound. Must have got some duds. Really happy with them now!

may jump on the Bose but reading on HeadFi about the new Jabra and PSB sets...

are SSF users still happy with their purchase?

I’m pretty happy with mine. Mine don’t have the issue with left earbud loosing connection. Seems to be solved with the firmware update. Others are complaining about using them in cold weather - no issues with mine.

Pros: amazing sound quality, secure fit, comfortable, good battery life, sweat and water resitatince, on sale.

Cons: disconnect when music is paused when crossing at a traffic light, standby battery drain.

Definitely Give the PSB a look. They are no frills but they clearly focused on SQ first and foremost. I prefer them to my SS frees. Very comfortable and musical. Biggest downside is lack of a charging case.

I have both and find that I use my AirPods more mostly because it’s convenient and I can somewhat still hear people screaming for me at work. When I need to isolate myself I always use my SoundSport though. I listen to a lot of EDM so Bose definitely is the one for sound since Bose is famous for its bass. But you can always set your equalizer to fit AirPods headphone to make it sound better too.
