took it back today - got a full refund.

the stress release alone was worth it (driving there for a 4th time to return it)

anyone who is really not satisfied - take it back (you wont regret it)

(Im waiting a few months - there are too many problems)

I think I'm going to be in the same boat as you. I am on my third MacBook too. The first one was great except for the discolored spots on the lid. I exhcanged it ... BIG MISTAKE.

I got two mooing macbooks since exhanging it. I am calling AppleCare tomorrow to see if they will ship me out a new one. Otherwise..it is getting returned.

what did you say to them when you wanted to exchange it because it was too hot? I figure they would say, "its suppose to be like that," and brush you off...

Well

when i called in to get a replacement, or should I say e-mailed, I got a phone call. I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2ghz week 20. The first thing he said to me was "that is something we would fix for you" and I basically said "well then, give me my money back. I reported the problems within 10 days so give me a full refund, I don't want it". I said "it's either that or a replacement, what do you want to do" and he said okay we'll go ahead and setup a replacement. It worked out. You just have to demand.

#1 A key was a bit "bent"
#2 There is a dead pixel
#3 Mild temp. problems, my friends runs a little bit cooler
#4 Very loud CPU whine (possibly the LCD whine because QuietMBP or MNK doesnt do anything to help it, but neither does changing the brightness)

All in all, I am glad I got it exchanged. I ended up with some upgrades for free!
