Dont be so concerned with Apple ram because its expensive. Its generic crappy ram and is very far from good high performance ram (its not even Apple ram, its either Samsung or Hynix, which is so generic theyre only sold to OEM's). It does the job as specified, no more no less.

All PC ram should work with intel macs, dont pay extra for "mac tested" or some other BS. You can go to newegg.com, find some ram from brands like G Skill or OCZ and get some better-than-apple ram for cheap (and if youre paranoid just check the comments section of each ram to verify people are using it on a mac). If you want the best ram you can buy just for the hell of it then OCZ is probably the best extreme performance ram (extreme performance ram is nonsensical in a Mac though since it cant be overclocked).

thank u

ok, thanx everyone for all your replies, as many of you know from my signature, i ordered my imac already, has 2 gigs o' ram installed, later on, i plan to replace both of the 1 gig sticks, with 2X2GB sticks from crucial, please tell me if you disagree with this though:eek:
