Neither Apple fail or premature anything.

It's simply a picture used as a general representation.

Think about the time you ever go to a fast food restaurant. You look up at a picture that represents what you want to eat. Now when you actually open your fun filled wrapper of food, does it EVER look like the picture you see?

It is a fail... Apple claims that Flash is not a big deal but the sites they pick to show tend to have flash... Kinda bad form.

I doubt it's a leak, I doubt it's intentional... It's just a Fail. How quick was everyone to jump on the "Microsoft Office Photoshop Fail," but they can't admit that Apple employees do the same? The Windows boards will LOVE this! ;)

If the menu showed a pickle, then yes, we would expect a pickle of some sort... not a little blue paper marker with "unable to put pickle here" :)

If this were an isolated incident, it'd be one thing. But Apple has repeatedly doctored websites to display a false image where Flash would go, and have been called out on it before.

Was it intentional this time? Who knows. But it'd be nice if they tried for a little fidelity.

Same over here to:

Found it shortly after the introduction. Called Apple but they said they wouldn't comment on any feature releases of both software and hardware updates.
I only get the mobile version of nationalgeographic.com, so my iPhone looks nothing like that image on that website.

Yea... You'd think if they were going to put the webpage image in there in post, they'd at least screen cap it from an iPhone or from a modified safari with no flash support! They've had plenty of time to learn.
