Looks nice.... So... that begs the question... how do you listen (ear piece) and use Face ID?

Jony Ive, "Removing the ear-piece and Face ID on the new iPhone took 'Courage'. We think our customers are really going to enjoy the unapologetic touch-centered experience."

Except with Face ID the notch is very often in use. Curious as to how you propose a user is going to deploy the notch to use Face ID to unlock the phone, or to use the apps that use it? Face ID is so seamless as it is; seems you are proposing to add seams. Oh yeah and whatever mechanics are needed for that just seem like adding an unnecessary failure point.

I much prefer the notch the way it is.

Good point!
One of Sony's (?) 2017 tv exploits technology that allows the same screen, oled technology, to vibrate at faces of people on screen to "direct" the sound from the exact source to the viewer: it could be an idea .
Hiding the speaker behind the top of the iPhone display. If I'm not mistaken anyway, there's already some cell phone that uses this same technology.

Looks like an LGV30.....the Notch has grown on me...

It’s actually grown on me too. Gives the phone some character, and the mock-up above looks worse to me. I appreciate the time and connection/battery info tucked up in the ears vs. an extended bezel all the way across and thus the return of the status bar and the wasted screen space that goes with it.

Okay, but I would prefer to be able to hear who I'm talking to on the phone, be able to have a front-facing camera for FaceTime, autobrightness, and an option for biometric security.

I would Like iPhone 11 to be able to use a bluetooth mouse. I also want 4k output. I'll Pay $1500 for those features.
Call it iPhone 11 Pro. Just California Dreaming, Wishing Steve was at the helm to do these things. The current generation of Mac Book Pros are using Old CPU's and where is the 4k? we are sick of Outdated Hardware. Apple is dropping the Ball on Innovation. Nothing New and a Mickey Mouse Watch dosent count! Steve Jobs was the only one with a brain at Apple. Now we have a bunch of Rich slackers thinking doing less is more.

Where are you going to put the FaceID hardware? Seriously.

here are a few more variations:

explanations of those ones along with some other variations can be found in this thread:

.

Most of them are back to at least a top bezel, and look like a Samsung.

That I don't like, and given how much Facid is designed in to be used, it will be up all to frquently. Plus a hinged component such as that could easily fall of out of spec and not be accurate and or break easily. Either way its not visually pleasing, and poses significant risks of failing.

All phones will eventually look the same. There really isnt much you can do with "all screen" body. Unless you use that popup notch design from previous post lol

Great comment. If you think about it for just a moment, this seems self-evidently true. It's a more extreme case of what happens when all of the automakers specify certain (similar) results when they put their designs into a wind tunnel.
