From an engineering perspective, I don’t see how they could work it out. Multiple layered transformers would create an insane amount of noise and would either not charge the phone at all or massively over supply them causing damage. I could see it working if it was simply 3 wireless chargers next to each other, but it just doesn’t seem feesable in the way they want to implement it
 
Both my X and 8 used to get extremely hot whenever I charged them wirelessly. And both took forever to charge. It just wasn't practical. I much preferred plugging the phone in and charging it with a cable. I don't see a reason to wirelessly charge the iPhone when fast charging feels 10x faster.

Thanks for pointing this out, I wasn't aware how wireless charging worked on these phones as I've never owned a phone that supports it. All these years I have not been bothered by having to connect a cable when I go to sleep but considered a wireless charger as a convenience if I could find one cheaply enough. I think I will stick with the cable and save my money.
