My preferred case as well. Used two different ones over the past year on my 5S, red and black. The new one for the 6+ is great as well.

Neither of my 2 leather cases showed any signs of the top leather flaking away.

Probably, but leather will almost always show signs of aging. My red leather case did change in appearance quite a bit but I expected that result going in. If someone wants a case that will be pristine in appears after longtime use, leather isn't you choice.

Disagree--the front of the space gray models is the best looking part of the phone--smooth black glass, very monolithic, with the ever so slight taper off the edge.

Included a few very quickly taken photos of my 6+ in the black leather case, as well as another of my favorite side of the phone.
That case looks really good actually.

I guess the bolded part is subject to personal opinion. I bought a Silver one and my wife a Gold and I have to say the antenna lines add to its aesthetic beauty for me. I wish some of my product design was as well thought out, or at least my boss does! I thought using white for these lines on the gold compliments it more, but also remaining quite subtle too? We all have different tastes of course :)

Actually those look really nice as well. Those antenna bars irritated me at first but they seem to be growing on me. Funny enough I think these clear cases also make the phone look even better than naked  That sheen somehow adds to the luxury feel of them.

Yeah, I've not seen any of my friends' leather 5s cases flaking either. And I agree, leather simply wears and hence changes color, that's just how it is. The light brown didn't age that well maybe but I guess that's why they went for the darker brown for the new ones. BTW I saw pictures of a 5s case that had been regularly treated with leather conditioner, I forget where but that thing had aged really nicely.

Oh and their silicon cases are pretty nice too, for those who want more grip and less wear.

Say what you will of the iPhone but damn that sigh just makes me drool.

Man, how I wish Samsung would make an effort and provide some fancy leather (non-flip) cases too. It's such a smart way of adding a touch of class to any phone. Of course the N4 means a big step taken towards a more premium feel all by itself, but a really nice set of leather cases would provide an extra touch that could make it attractive to a wider range of customers.

The iPhone 6 feels phenomenal to hold.

Looks great too.

I've always regarded the 4/4S as Apple's most aesthetically pleasing device, but the iPhone 6 has it beat.

How is the protection on the glass with that case on?
It looks like there could be damage if dropped.

That leather case does look nice, but it's still a bit too thick for me. On my 5s I had a .2mm plastic case on it from Ebay, it was like a sheet of paper but my only concern was protection against scratches and it worked well.

The antenna bars are horrid on the silver/gold models, more so the gold one. The gold one is just half baked IMO, the plastic antenna bands should be gold/beige tinged and I still think the front should have an option for black. As much as I really like the black fronts I can't believe how atrocious the white fronts look, it just looks like something out of a 1980's Skymall catalog.

It's a little difficult to see in the photo but the edge of the case does come up above the display a small amount, meaning when laying face down the glass doesn't touch the table. So while not super robust, it does offer some protection if it falls face down.

An honest review. I have actually been tempted not by the bigger iPhone 6 Plus but by the iPhone 6. I was at an Apple store and it feels really good in my hand. I agree with the poster though, case is required, though I wouldnt want one.

I switched from iPhone 5 to Galaxy S5, I like both phones for different reasons. Though I was tempted when they came out not so sure any longer. Ino May I can trade and upgrade, but may wait it out until 6 at that point. Though Android is making some tempting strides.

Thanks for that info. Looks like I'll be going with a cheap eBay TPU case for now.

I had the opposite experience unfortunately. I got a 5S last year but made the mistake of getting only 16GB and it hasn't been enough. I really wanted to upgrade to the 6 and get the 64GB but when I went to see it, I just didn't like it at all and hated how it felt in my hand. To me, it felt extremely awkward.

Now I'm completely bummed out because I prefer iOS to Android and feel like I have to settle on hardware that I don't like.

You've got some extremely strong opinions....

Lots of "atrocious" and "horrid" being thrown around.

I have a gold 6+ - I really like it. I don't mind the antenna bands (though I use a black leather Apple case most of the time).

I actually like the white front. I bounce back and forth between white and black.....like each for different reasons.

What about it was awkward?

Genuinely curious.

I mostly agree, I just wish the thing weren't so damn slippery. I ordered an Apple case for it, so that should help.

No offense intended, just my opinion on aesthetics. I'm just not a bezels kind of guy and wish they didn't stick out so much on the white front face.

Haha no offense taken.....just an observation.

Black front definitely looks better but the white front doesn't show dirt and fingerprints.....each has pros and cons.

I like using one of each :p

I also don't like the white N4. Heck I probably don't like any of the white faced phones, I'm highly prejudiced against bezels lol.

I actually don't mind them.... They give me a nice place to hold my device in landscape mode.

For the 6+, that's a big deal to me.

I have the same case. Go to Amazon and its made by Spigen. Or get a Chinese knock off. It's just soft gel, so nor like the one by Spigen is gonna be any better than the dollar Chinese version.

Mine was a Chinese knock off and cost £2.15. It's actually really good quality and should last a couple of months until it starts to go yellow. At that price you can get a few lol. I want decent screen guards for my Spigen bumper though and this case can go in the bin ;)

I tried the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus today.

The 6 was nice, but screen still feels small to me. I need 5 inches at least. Build quality was good, but iPhone 5S was much better.

The real star was the 6 Plus. OMG that's a sexy phone. It's the best 5.5 inch phone I've ever seen. Much better to hold in the hand and use than the G3. Might be the round edges, the aluminum back, how light it is...

It's a great phone. I would go for that one no doubt. Didn't feel that big to me. Note 3 feels much bigger and worse in the hand.

Just to update I got to see a live Note 4 at BB today. IPhone 6...who? WOW the Note 4 is freaking nice, it's easily as solid as the ip6+ and more so IMO. The IP still feels a bit thinner, but putting a case on it will even that out very quickly. Also from a quick glance it looks like touch wiz was extensively revamped, messages, phone app, contacts, calendar, etc. all looked like a lot of effort was made to make them look very nice, and more importantly uniform. N4 was also a bit narrower, it felt a bit easier and more natural to hold in the hand than the N3. Can't wait for this phone.
