Thoughts on Pixlemator vs. Affinity Serif

Great feedback. How about Affinity Designer? Any suggestions about it?

As great as Affinity Photo. Fully recommended from me.

I guess only Serif has their product Affinity Photo on desktop and tablet.

Pixelmator also has a very capable iOS version.

True, but it does not match Affinity feature by feature. So capable yes. Up to the Affinity level, not really.

That's true. But the same goes for the Mac version.

Loving how Affinity Photo and Pixelmator are pushing the limits of macOS and iOS - perhaps beyond Adobe's grasp. I was not happy with the limited functionality of Adobe's iOS apps - especially having to move between apps (Mix and Fix) to accomplish what I could with Pixelmator alone. Haven't spent much time with Affinity Photo but at first glance it looks to be all that Photoshop should have been. I know Adobe has over 90 percent of the market but I'm curious to see how things shake out in three years. Meanwhile, I continue to work with both macOS and iOS.
