And I wouldn't pull out a Playstation 4 Pro to do development work. Pro is just a marketing term - and not just in Apple world. "Pro" just means "Premium". That's it.

Also, the fact that you can't use an iPhone for professional work, doesn't mean no one can. I know a lot of 3D artists that use them to sample textures, I know content creators that use them to record video, I even know photographers who use them on their travels when no other camera is around. Just saying. Either way, again, "Pro" is just a marketing term. And regular iPhone 12 Pro is more premium than iPhone 12, ergo the "Pro" moniker.

Playstation were actually used in the past for pro work, as they had the most computing power per $ spend. And you can run Linux on it.

Not sure if this possible with the current generation though (probably not).

BROOOO I put my xs max in my front pocket all the time and I have no issues with pocketability with it. My gripe is with one handed operability and overall size and weight in everyday life. Lol. Yeah I’m a max owner and yet I don’t like the differentiation apple has set this year. Heck why didn’t they equip the xs max or 11 pro max with any fancy stuff then?

Was probably too big to fit back then.

I totally agree! “Pro” simply means premium, and usually with a few extra features. and I’m genuinely surprised people don’t understand that by now as that has been the case with Apple for quite some time.

I’m a photographer and videographer, and I regularly use a $2,600 Sony A7III set up for video and photo shoots. Once the 11 pro max was released, I stopped taking my Sony camera for traveling and casual use relied strictly on my iPhone for photos and videos for casual use. The 3 camera lenses perform amazing (mostly using natural light) and for casual use, it’s my go to.

ive always gone for every plus/max model so I can’t wait for my 12 Pro max. Of course I’m excited for the best camera system they have to offer, the best battery life, and a slightly bigger screen in a similar sized body.

People get hung up on what pro means these days. Maybe back in 2000s it mean professionals but it’s now just a marketing term so of course pro is equated to dslr and not an iPhone. I had a 2017 MacBook Pro 13in that struggled with videos editing (low end model). If you take the pro term literally you’d be upset that they’re selling a low spec model and calling it a pro. I got it because the screen is nice and bright and the speakers were really good.
