The type of people defending Cook's decision to use a previous generation CPU in the latest non-Pro iPhones are the same type of people who defend Cook's decision to use a USB 2.0 connection in all the latest iPhones (including the top-of-the-line iPhone Pro), despite the USB 2.0 connection being used on the very first iPhone from 15 generations ago:

The USB 2.0 speeds need to die a horrible death.

GFXBench which should measure 3d games performance is 59 fps vs 60 fps, 1 fps increase out of 59 is 1.6% increase.

Well that is benchmark, in real life that is 0 different.

This is just gaming. The cpu part which is basically anything other than gaming is the same.

The ram different would not affecting anything except you can open 60 tabs instead of like 40 tabs.
That’s because the screen is the limiting factor at 60 hz, not a gpu limitation.
As far as the ram goes, check back in a few years to see what the limiting factor will be for future ios updates. Take a wild guess, I’ll wait

Cook was a bean counter and still is and he knows his cult will continue to buy new overpriced iPhones even if the littlest change was done to them.

The iPhone 4 launched when Jobs was still CEO and they were priced at $649 (16GB) and $749 (32GB) unlocked. Adjusting for inflation, that is equal to around $880 and $1,020 today. The larger (larger display, larger battery, larger storage) and more capable 128GB iPhone 14 is priced at $829 which is less (inflation adjusted) than even the 16GB the iPhone 4.

Today's iPhone SE is also larger and more capable than the iPhone 4 yet is less than HALF the inflation adjusted price of the least expensive iPhone 4.

Recognizing our shared humanity and embracing a deeper understanding of ourselves and others is a powerful way to address the root causes of many problems we face today.
Probably the most important reason why understanding who we really are will help us to address the root causes of problems wisely, is that we will not create divisions anymore. Because when you understand who you really are, you also understand that life is paradoxical.

For example, it is widely believed that capitalism and communism exclude each other. Abolition of private property and private ownership are central to communism and capitalism respectively. So, the capitalist and the communist hate each other. But it is not possible to embrace only one of these isms and keep the other at a distance. No. You cannot separate them. This is what makes life paradoxical. What you want and what you don’t want are present together in the same moment.

What does the capitalist and the communist value above all else? It may be an oversimplification but for the communist it is justice and for the capitalist it is freedom. The former Soviet Union lacked freedom; by a small minority (the communistic party) “justice” was imposed on everyone else in the society. In the US, Americans have of course more freedom than the Russians in the former Soviet Union had, but is America a just society? As far as I’m concerned, America is not a democracy but a plutocracy.

Freedom cannot thrive if justice doesn’t thrive. Justice only flourishes when freedom flourishes, and vice versa. Hence there’s no better freedom than justice and no better justice than freedom. To me, an enlightened world economy would not be capitalism or communism but capitalism and communism together as a synthesis wherein you cannot recognize them as being separate; a synthesis that fosters freedom and justice together as two sides of the same coin; a synthesis that allows people to co-operate rather than compete and share instead of parade richness before the poor.

Even all three generations of cheapest low-end budget model iPhone SE (2016, 2020, and 2022) received the exact same CPU that was in most expensive high-end iPhone model at the time.
The iPhone 5C didn't have the same chip as the 5S. This was a really bad thing back when one generation of A-chips made a big difference. So even if I accept your premise that it's a scam, it's not the "latest" one by a long shot.

Apple has had 2 levels of phone since the Xr/Xs. I bought the 11 (not Pro, since I was mad with Apple), and regretted the lack of telephoto lens. So bought the 12 Pro a year later. I'm likely Pro line in the future, but not max.

13 Pro was too early, 14 Pro lost pSIM, so I'm still waiting. Probably replace my battery soon and soldier on.

Forgot about this one. Really, the only reason for the 5C was to take the place of the 5, which would have historically continued to be sold, but the 5 had the first LTE modem and was REALLY limited in bands it supported. So they had to come out with a version with upgraded modem. Tried to reduce production costs along the way. They learned their lesson.

The iPhone 5C was a very different situation than the non-Pro iPhone 14. The iPhone 5C was sold as both a budget model and as an honest repackaging of the previous generation iPhone 5. Apple advertised the iPhone 5C as not being a premium product, even going as far as using the phrase "unapologetically plastic" to explain that it is not made of premium materials. The non-Pro iPhone 14 was advertised as being a premium product that is made of premium materials. The non-Pro iPhone 14 is not advertised as a budget model. It has a premium price, unlike the budget model iPhone 5C.
