Just did that. No joy. I'll try rebooting and see.Hi All,
As you i encountered the same problems with Time machine after upgrading, , i have resolved this by giving Time machine in Privacy and security "Full Disk Access" and it works again like before.
So no need to turn of firewalls or formatting any disks
Hope this works for you all like it did for me.
Kind Regards.

Rebooted. Still no luck.Just did that. No joy. I'll try rebooting and see.
Dang that's frustrating to hear , i have external SSD's and this resolved it for me, the error i received from TM was "will try again when MAC is unlocked !!" , what ? weird error if you are working on an unlocked mac-studioRebooted. Still no luck.
I'm using an OWC Thunder Bay Mini with four 4TB SSDs, using USB-c to Thunderbolt adapter. I had been using the larger Thunderbay, connected via USB-C, but bought the Mini because I thought the large one had died, which is why the drive kept dropping. I now know that isn't true. I may try reconnecting the old Thunderbay.Dang that's frustrating to hear , i have external SSD's and this resolved it for me, the error i received from TM was "will try again when MAC is unlocked !!" , what ? weird error if you are working on an unlocked mac-studio
Switched my SSDs into the old housing and have the same issue. This is particularly vexing for me, as I purchased all new drives and new enclosure thinking that would solve the problem.I'm using an OWC Thunder Bay Mini with four 4TB SSDs, using USB-c to Thunderbolt adapter. i fully understand the vexing part, no BACK UP = NOT GOODSwitched my SSDs into the old housing and have the same issue. This is particularly vexing for me, as I purchased all new drives and new enclosure thinking that would solve the problem.
The problem is MacOS 18! 18.1 and 18.1.1 haven't fixed it. Grrrr.
Well, it looks like I've solved getting Time Machine to work. All this time, I've been trying to set it up without a password. This time, I decided to acquiesce and use one. Viola! Time Machine works just fine now.i fully understand the vexing part, no BACK UP = NOT GOOD
yet i don't have the problem anymore , it looks like the 18 update did something to all authorizations from TM, and that should not happen imo, did apple support gave you an answer / Solution?
