Hi there,

So I finally had time for further tests, and before going any further, I tried making a TM backup of my macbook air using exactly the same method...
And well, it worked flawlessly.
So looks like the problem is on the imac side and not on the NAS side...
:confused:

If you haven't done so update to 10.8.3, this might solve the problem, I still think it's unmounting the shares while backing up and Kernel panics.

I have now installed 10.8.3, I'm going to give a shot at it. But I don't know if you refer to this update about wifi improvments but my imac is wired to the network.

So, it did exactly the same thing as before :mad:
I would be thinking about a clean install but I did one not so long ago and was quite careful since then....

Any update to the issue -- I'm asking as I'm having similar problems, each time my TM backup starts - the wireless connection drops out...

...please update if you have had any progress or have any workarounds :)
