Come on Yummly, your recipes are great, but that icon not so much.

Hey, Walmart! Fix your app icon for iOS 18.

OK, Photo Lab Pro, you do all the cool stuff with photos. But ignore your app icon.

It’s weird. I just got my 16 Pro Max and on there it is dark, but not on my old 11 Pro… And weirdly on my 11 Pro, the Pages and Keynote apps are dark, but not on my 16 Pro Max
They're all dark for me on all my devices. Did you check for updates? Try restarting and/or toggling dark icons off and on.

Developers are being lazy on this one.
iOS 18 has really a few changes that they should implement and they aren't even doing an icon.
Also, one good thing is that maybe we will be stopping seeing all-white icons in the future.

My shame-list:
23&Me
PayPal
TurboScan
MaxVault
Expenses
OralB
Agro Measure Map
Aqara
Schwab
Yahoo Mail

My personal shame list from Switzerland with country-specific apps:

- Bring!
- MeteoSwiss
- Local.ch
- Swiss Post
- Rega
- TCS
- Postcard Creator

There are several more but these are my main eye sores.

My question is: can Apple force them to build a black icon or do we have to live with workarounds like shortcuts for the next years? I´m throwing apps without a black icon off my homescreen.
Out of sight, out of mind. Not good for the developers.

I use a password app that still doesn't have a dark icon. A couple weeks ago I wrote an App Store review for this app and at the end I included a feature request to hopefully prompt the developer to include a dark mode icon in the next update. Yesterday I received an email letting me know that the developer has responded, they said the next update would include a dark mode icon. My point is, if you want a dark mode icon you can always send a polite request to the developer.. some developers actually listen to the users.
