Personally i stayed on ios 9 most of this year (iphone 6s), in August i updated to ios 10.3.3 finally however i found two serious annoying bugs so, the decision is pretty simple for me today i'm updating all my devices to ios 11.1

IOS 10 was never THAT great anyways imo.

I agree that 10 wasn't much of an improvement over 9. I will also say that I don't think any of my devices did as well for battery life on 10 as they did on 9. 11 has been really great on my iPhone 7. As I said, neither my Mini 4 nor my Air 2 did well with 11.0 or 0.1.

11.1’s speed reminds me of 10.3.3. I had laggy scrolling on 11.0-11.0.3 on my iPhone 8+. It made my 6s+ noticeably slower as well, but I traded that to get my 8+. That said, battery life was always really great on 11.0. Maybe there will be an improvement on 11.1? I’m happy with iOS 11, definitely now with 11.1.

I need to see some more consensus on 11.1 before I irrevocably leave 10.3.3 on my Air 2. My two A8 devices are even bigger question marks.

Remember there is no going back. I hope it doesn't drive you nuts! It's keeping me on 10.3.3 with my 7.

I had to update my iPhone 7 to take advantage of wOS 4. It's been great. There is the double-tap thing with the home button. That took me a week to get used to, but to me it's not a problem, and I have corporate email on my phone so it's ALWAYS locked unless it's being used.

I just finished updating all my devices and so far so good, device feels pretty smooth, however some apps crash, i don't know nothing about battery life yet though however there's no going back to ios 10 for me for sure.

so far battery use has been more intensive on ios 11, gonna perform a clean ios 11 installation on all my devices next.....

After trying to perform a clean ios 11.1 installation on my ipad air 2 i can safely conclude ios 11 is a buggy mess period.

1) Man if they were going to remove the apps installation via the PC at least they should have checked the Appstore app was working properly. Now when i want to install an app sometimes the button "open" appears and sometimes doesn't. Also now take "ages" to install each app one by one.

2) Moving the feature "disabling autobrightness" it just a mediocre way to "hide" their lame batteries life performance. Let's "hide" it and deal with the autobrightness from now onwards, oh wait if you enable it then you have to deal with poor battery life...my 2 cents.

And of course battery use with ios 11 is now a little more intensive.....ah but recharging the devices last exactly the same long time as ever....geez...

and no staying on the also buggy ios 10 or the even older ios 9 are not an option there are serious security threats out there.

This is Apple 2017.

If you like 11.1 wait til you get a load of 11.2. Better in every regard on my 7+.

buggy ios 10

Really? What bugs did you have on 10.3.3? Even the pickiest members generally acknowledge it as something as close to bug free as you're likely to get in 10 million lines of code.

Here are two I experienced on 10.3.3, suggested apps in the bottom corner of the lock screen can't be swiped into if there are any notifications on the screen. My headphones stopped working and I thought they were broken until I connected them to other devices. I did a hard reset which fixed the issue.

9.3.5 was more stable. ;)

that was ios 9.3.5...

On 10:

1) Home button sometimes didn't wake up the device.

2) From time to time (very rare) i didn'¿t have 4g network, never happend to me on ios 9.

Also during 6 months easily people were complaining about battery issues with that ios version, so no, it was far from perfect...and it won't be missed.

Not really, I noticed it but still it's not that bad honestly. It's fast as it was it's just different animation.

So far so good. Will see about battery after few days.
How's the battery doing and overall speed and stability feeling?

I'm considering updating my 7 just because I really want the new watchOS 4 for my series 2 and iOS 10 is starting to feel a little boring BUT it is still super fast and stable and I love my home button speed. I'm torn and I know I can't go back if I do update. Any weird lags or hang ups or super battery drain? Thanks.

I only wanted to comment that performance on iphone 6s is pretty good feels like a brand new phone (even with its bugs), much better than ios 10.

Well, animations are different so it may appear as a lag, and not that fluid like on 10, but battery is not great, there's no strange drain but it lasts for me about 6h of usage and 4h of SoT

Updated an iPhone 7 and an iPad from 2014 yesterday and everything seems fine. That said, I don't like (1) that there's no longer a way to dismiss a group of notifications at once, and (2) that Control Center no longer actually controls whether WiFi and Bluetooth are on/off rather than connected/not connected. The latter is going to be a shock to a lot of people who see the dimmed icon and think "off" rather than "on but not connected to anything."

I updated my 7 today, and it seems better than 11.0.3.

(I planned to only download it and install much later, but after it was prepared and the dialog asked Now or Later, no matter how many times I clicked Later, the countdown continued. POS.)

Yikes only 6 hours of usage? What is SoT?

Is it finally time to update my Iphone 7 to 11.1 from 10.3.3 or ios 10 is still better than 11?
Cheers
I have 6 plus ..and 11.1 and i tell you...it’s not as great as ios 10..but lot better than 11.0.3

I think I got it a little bit more than 7h of usage but it was on 3% of battery and about 4:30h of Screen on time(sot).

Yeah, I can agree with that.
