Timemachine Question

I'm pretty new to Macs and moving from a M1 Mini to a 14" MBP I received today.

I am going through everything to make sure things copied over properly. When I checked on Timemachine, it said the next backup would happen when I was on power.

Does Timemachine only backup when on power? I couldn't find a setting for this. I'd rather that it backup to my NAS when I'm connected to my local network no matter if I'm on battery or plugged in.

Just as soon as I sent this I found the setting under Options.

i would use the power option, even with the new long lasting batteries the M1 sports.
my  things need power to time machine.
