I’m not saying the bug doesn’t exist, I’m sure it does, I am saying that I’ve tried what you’ve done and it works fine for me. I hope you get it sorted. However, knowing Apple, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

U setup time of Lock Screen 30 sec and timer 30 sec. what’s difficult?

What's difficult is you're not using the correct terminology. I just saw the video you posted as I was replying and it makes sense now. What you're saying is if the AUTO-LOCK time is 30 seconds (not "lock screen time" which makes it sound like a time displayed on the lock screen). Just tried on my 12 Pro and the alarm still goes off even when it's set to the same auto-lock time. Running iOS 14.6 beta 3

Thanks for this - I didn't understand what he meant before but now I do!

I just tried this on my XR on 14.5.1 and yes I DO have this bug! Interesting :)

I would like to note that there is no problem on Se, 6,7,8. It's about FaceID. If you look at the phone, it will work, if not, it will be blocked

I can reproduce it on my 11. 14.5.1.
The notification/alarm is also cancelled if you manually lock your phone at the right moment.
I’ve been using the timer and seen this happen before 14.5.
I’m guessing this doesn’t affect just “timer”.

Confirmed on iPhone X running 14.5.1. Although it's definitely a bug, I don't see it being a massive issue for anyone.

Steps to replicate:

1. Set Auto-Lock to 30 secs.
2. Set the timer to 30 secs.
3. Lay phone on the desk and start the timer.
4. Don't touch the screen after the timer has started.
5. Don't look at the screen as the Attention-Aware feature will prevent the auto-lock if you have it enabled.

Basically...if the screen auto-locks as the timer hits zero then the alarm won't sound. It happens if the timer is set to the same time as auto-lock but also if you tap the screen when a running timer matches the auto-lock setting.

Easiest workaround is to start the timer and then immediately tap anywhere else on the screen so the auto-lock doesn't coincide with the timer hitting zero......or set the timer 1 sec either side of the required time.

Attention aware function in settings of Face ID? What do you think
