TNT tracking thread!

All of the tracking information is very confusing. I wouldn't trust the estimated delivery time that Apple give, I think this is more of a guaranteed delivery date, meaning it will be no later than this.

I was originally quoted the 19th October for my MacBook, but it came on the 12th

Delay?! I just rang TNT and they said the plane was offloaded due to error. I presume this means it was put on the wrong plane?!

They are putting a trace on it and will ring me back.

Keep us informed - my TNT tracking details shows the same information.

They just said it is still on schedule for delivery on 6th (Monday )

Ring them yourself and let us know. Ask them to put a trace on it if they don't automatically. The more info we have the better.

I just had a call from their customer service. The woman I spoke to said it might arrive friday, one day later than Apple's estimated delivery date. She will call me back as soon as she has some more information.

TNT took their sweet time. Not only that, they messed up delivery and then fed me a pack of lies. I live in Blackrock in Dublin. They sent my package to Co Cork (where there is also a blackrock). The delivery man rang me and said he'd send it up to Dublin to arrive tomorrow. When I rang up the tnt depot, they told me Apple had given them the wrong address, which is a lie. The billing address is clear, and says dublin. The delivery man said that the package just had "blackrock" and that they musn't have botherd to check before chucking it on the truck to cork.

I don't mind an honest mistake, but TNT customer service leaves a sour taste. I've another day to wait for my MPB.

I hope mine was on the same flight as you. I'm waiting for Apple logistics team to call me this afternoon to tell me exactly where it is. I will then also call TNT.

Someone on the http://www.apecode.com/appletrack website has mentioned that the delay was caused by a faulty aircraft and his MBP was STILL in China. I seriously hope mine was on the same flight as yours - and I was told it did leave China two days ago. BUT TNT are very good liars. We will see.

Yup! I've had the same tracking info, about the delay at Pudong Airport. I rang TNT yesterday to see where it was and was told it was out for delivery and it'd arrive before 6pm! It didn't turn up though and when I called again this morning they told me that it hadn't even left China and I should call on monday to see where it was. No idea when it'll arrive.

Perhaps good to know:
Don't try to change the delivery adress at TNT. That won't work cause Apple doesn't want that. If you want to change your adress, tell it Apple.

After learning that, I will get my new MBP tomorrow morning...
I could have had it on tuesday... bad week for me.

Well, mine was supposed to be delivered Thursday. I was unavailable that day so I called and arranged delivery for today. No one came and after hours on the phone they are saying it is in some airport in China!!!!! The Apple site says

Shipped 30 Oct 2006

Estimated Delivery Date 02 Nov 2006 (Subject to change)

Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed 02 Nov 2006

I am fuming!!! My wife took the day off to be there today.

No info on TNT's tracking site, only says "Please Call!!!"

I said that to a woman at TNT and she said 'yeah that's normal'
