Some people on either side laughed, but then there were some neat platforms like WebOS and Windows Phone and Ubuntu Touch and some other stuff...It wasn’t that long ago that it was Apple vs the world. Android users boasted about how big their market share was, about how “open” their platform was, of the lack of flash support, of hardware features like expandable storage that either came later, or never came at all to iOS devices. In the face of this overwhelming opposition and negativity, there was a special pride that brought us Apple users together. It took a certain amount of personal conviction to stand against “the default” of windows / android dominance. Year after year, Android users would laugh at us for “paying more for less”, and we endured, and we thrived.
As someone that has never--and likely will never--buy a Pro phone, the Air is great. The fallacy for people is they're comparing it the pro. But I'd estimate that 80-90% of Pro purchasers should be buying the Air or regular phone. When I had the 14 Plus, I had friends with the 14 Pro Max that were jealous when they realized I had the 2nd lightest phone that year, tied for the largest screen, the best battery life, etc. They'd tell me how much greater the camera was, then do a side-by-side with the phones and realize they were assuming the regular phone cameras were like using something from 10 years ago. When I had the 12 mini, I had about half dozen people that thought it seemed so tiny at first, but then shortly thereafter went and got one.Thank you!
Air has been so much better than the Pro I came from and fits *my* needs.
Love to be the new tech adopter.
Reality is that most people don't by the Pro because it's the best for them, they buy it due to FOMO. And yet if they bought the Air or even the regular 17, they'd be perfectly fine. Their pics would be great, they'd have all-day battery life, it would be zippy, etc etc.

In what world is it intended to replace the SE3? The SEs are designed around a price point. The e replaced the SE.Alas, the Air is intended to replace the iPhone SE3 so it's both heavier and much bigger. The SE3 is far easier to use one-handed. I'm annoyed that phones are going bigger and bigger. Alas, I can't keep using the SE3 forever.

Is it your daily over the Fold 7?I love my Air.
Every time I try to zoom when taking a photo and it looks grainy, I just remember how light the phone is. And then I pass gas and sniff it and just feel so much better about everything.
Haha no I didn't actually buy the Air.Is it your daily over the Fold 7?
Yeah, I get what you mean. Wasn’t trying to come across like that at all though. Just meant it in a light way since there’s been a lot of negativity around the Air lately. Everyone’s got their own reasons for what they buy, I just like seeing people enjoy their choice, that’s all.Is it not a little patronising addressing the iPhone Air users and insinuating that they, all, as a collective, care about your respect or view on them?
