One word of advice...

Keep all screws organized according to size, and either make mental notes or write something down on paper as a "key". These things will get lost easily.

With the PBFixit instructions it's not that bad, depending on your comfort level with this sort of thing. Print out the instructions, the last page is a screw guide where you can tape the screws as you take them out (so you don't lose or mix them up.)

Thanks for finding that for me! I'm the kind of guy who would open the case to do it too. Do you have any idea how complicated it is to do or if any special tools are required?

edit: I thought I was the kind of guy who might do this until I found the guide and photos!!

check this: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/53.21.0.html

FWIW, I recently had to do something to my PowerBook that requires doing all of those steps up to and including removing the SuperDrive. I didn't have to remove the Bluetooth module, subwoofer or display, but I really think that if you're patient, careful and take your time you can do it. Don't rush, don't let yourself get frustrated, follow the guide exactly (including using the screw guide!) and it is definitely doable.
