You need to move it to your library. I just dropped it from a CD to his and it imported. So it could depends on how you have it set up.

Remember if you use "option/alt" - so you get the green circle + thing, it will reference it from where it is stored, and you don't need to have multiple copies on there. I think you get the green circle... gee, i'm not on the kids computer to see what you get! LOL!! Anyway, you can do that too. I keep all their movies on an external drive and it works well.

Praying for a price drop.. If I wanted to pay that much, I would just buy a Tom Tom device. Personally I think it is crazy, but hey that's just me.

I tell ya, I was gonna say just buy a stand alone unit, but I know one people want everything on one piece of hardware.

I bought the G-Maps East when the price was lower, but it's worth every penny if I don't have my GPS unit.

Don't forget, with ATT's Navigator GPS solution you're getting fresh updated maps all the time (for $10/month of course). With TT your maps and POI's will get stale fast PLUS you will eventually have to pay for map upgrades.

And maps aren't continuously updated. Garmin only offers about 4 updates a year and I'm not sure how often TomTom offers updates but AT&T Navigator wouldn't be updated anymore than those two since Navteq and Tele Atlas are the two suppliers.
