I thought the chipset in the dock was simply speculation from hopefuls like us. I didn't realize it had been documented/reported from any legitimate source.
My hope is that it will cost $99.99 (at least initially) for the app and dock combo AND that I will be able to load the software on both my iPhone and my wife's iPhone - both on the same iTunes account. If so, I'm almost certain to go with it - not that I won't be monitoring Navigator and Navigon (and others) closely in the meantime. Seriously, I think TomTom could be losing potential customers by holding off the release (if it's them) as impatient types (which I often am) possibly make impulse purchases from competitors in the meantime. Plus, if their app is less than most of us are hoping for, in terms of features, it will take a great deal to woo these customers back with future updates. Hopefully, it will be out soon, fully loaded, and priced somewhat modestly.
