all i can say about appigo's todo app is that i paid 9.99 for it and i never received a response from them for two trouble tickets. syncing with my MBP is not consistent, it can get annoying and inefficient at times.

Search google for

"Appigo ToDo Google Group"

They respond about every day.

Remember The Milk looks good, but at $25 per year? No thanks.

I use Toodledo and NotifyMe. One time purchases and no contracts to worry about.

thanks for the heads up :)

they should have responded to my trouble tickets within two days each though.. this was directly from their site, too. :(

I have ToDo but don't use it, will when Push comes out though.

I am also waiting for The Hit List's iPhone App to come out.

Not sure why everyone is ignoring Toodledo. I believe it is the only app that automatically updates the badge without opening the program, and the only app that syncs automatically over 3G when you make a change in the app (in beta). Also, does the Things iphone app do repeating tasks?

So I bought ToDo by Appigo last night. Great program so far. It's complex enough that it lets me do what I want, but not too complex to confuse me. I really won't use it all that much until push notifications come, but it's nice to finally offload everything that was cluttering my mind onto something that can be organized the way I want it to.

Given that I already own it, I've been using Pocket Informant for tasks/to-do's. Does anyone have any thoughts on PI vs. ToDo? Any reason to buy ToDo?

I have both Pocket Informant and Todo, and Todo currently supports subtasks and recurring tasks, but these will come out in a Pocket Informant update in the near future, so unless you really need those features, I don't see any reason to get Todo.

You could check out the free ToDo Lite if you really wanted. I'm actually playing with PI lite (free) and think I prefer it. The Lites are limited to number of ToDo's, but at least you can check it out.

Awesome - thanks!

That was a good idea - thanks. After downloading ToDo lite, I realized that ToDo & PI are so close, it makes no sense to use anything but PI.

Back in February, I narrowed my choices down to Things and Omnifocus. I tried the demo of both for a couple weeks. I found that I liked how omnifocus handled contexts better. Yes, it took me a bit longer to figure out omnifocus, but it is soo much more powerful and customizable. (views especially)

Several months later I've really grown into omnifocus and feel very satisfied with my purchase (iphone version and desktop)

I genuinely can't see a reason why anyone would want to buy Things over ToDo - I like the fact that you can specify what the tast is - i.e. email/sms/call a contact etc. I also think the UI is a lot more intuitive.

I'm going to go for it and let you guys know if it was worth it!

Same here.

Simple todo applications are fine. However, once you get into the power of a GTD system like OmniFocus it's hard to go back. There definitely is a learning curve to get you started. But once mastered, OmniFocus becomes a wonderful tool.

I love how you can break task down by location and context. Saves time and effort.

Additionally, I like how they sync between the desktop and iPhone/touch versions.

I was a fan of Things but I'm beginning to think it's time to move on. After all this time there is no way to sync automatically. It is ridiculous that you have to keep both apps open in order to sync. This is even not including the poor syncing between Macs. ToDo, RTM, Toodledo, and Omnifocus all sync without having to do this. There is no reason to have $60 for the desktop and mobile client not to sync. There are plenty of apps that use MobileMe to sync like Omnifocus and Yojimbo.

I think Omnifocus may be too much for me but I'll research it along with the other apps.
