It indeed does. Copying is Samsung's forte, no surprise.

And why are they advertising the iPhone 6 on their page? Ok I'm kidding, we all know the iPhone 6 doesn't have a curved display. :p

"Next is now"? That is horrid.

Damn that Samsung!

I heard they also make phones with a screen, and not just any screen, but a COLOUR SCREEN, just like every other phone maker!

Urrgh, how dare they!

They must be hoping their product website will rival a social network site, as both websites are gunning for EXACTLY the same people with exactly the same intentions....tut tut Samsung.

Bud, no matter how you cut it, copying is copying. That looks pretty damn close to Facebook. Enough for someone to notice and enough for me to agree. So they copy phones/websites... what else? You know how many people have a Facebook account? Samsung is gunning for PEOPLE because of the numbers. You mustn't know much about marketing. Little things like giving a website the same look and feel as a site as popular and mainstream as Facebook...they are doing all they can to appeal more to people. I don't blame them, but I mean come on... you're all defending blatant copying. Stand out, don't blend in, that is the key to success and Samsung hasn't found that key yet because their busy looking in Apple's pockets.

Facebook don't own the copyright to blue toolbars or white text. Search bars have been around for many years ... So can we stop the silliness now ?

Is anyone even surprised at this juncture? The main reason why Samsung even grew so big in the first place was because they copied Apple. In for a penny, in for a pound.

you're right of course! Because Samsung copied Apple making
Washing machines, dryers, Microwaves, DVD players, TVs, and then of course all the internal components like processors, memory and SSD drives.

Then of course they copied Apple in the Heavy Industries where Samsung is the world's 2nd biggest shipbuilder too. Then there is Samsung Engineering the world's 13th largest construction company.
Yes....you're right they owe it all to copying Apple who did all those things first huh? ///////ssssss

Yes, this is a fact, if they didn't copy Apple they would have been in bankrupcy

And regarding the thread, Samsung toolbar has been blue since, at least, 2000. Did Existed Facebook then?

Some people do have serious mental issues - that's my only conclusion from this thread.

The websites do look very alike and I think it is the red notification tab, the search bar and the profile figure along the top that make it more similar.

Samsung have always used blue on their website that I remember too as it is the colour of their brand. I think so many people use Facebook worldwide, it is simply a familiar semantic that makes people associate it to Facebook when they look at the website. That is obviously the purpose though and if it is not, it is either a clever accident or they have a web designer who spends too much time on social media and doesn't realise it! :)

You have mental issues if you can't see this.

You hit the nail right on the head.

People in here are all "Samsungs colors are blue and white, they have been for years"... its not so much the colors people, its the layout the red notification badges and the icons and near exact icon shapes at the top right, that are set up just like Facebook has been. As the Real Deal said, this is no mistake. It amazes me how blind people are. Is it an exact copy? No of course not. Samsung is that master of copying just enough where it's not overly offensive.

That's fine they copied the layout and setup of 2nd most most popular website in the world, let's hope it can help pull them out of the hole because they need a miracle.

Samsung's core business is silicon chips and TV's.

I guess Apple have a multi-window feature, fast charging with 4 hrs usage after 10 min of charge, dual-edged display, wireless charging, actually builds their own SoC to compete with Qualcomm, and so forth. Along with everything Android have copied from them like a pull-down notification, and ability for apps to communicate with each other and allow 3rd party keyboards. Apple invented it all. Oh wait...

The only companies Apple can never take down in court are Motorola and Nokia. Pioneers of the industry. The latter they lost to. While they bully others over patents that isn't even used in one of their actual products yet instead of taking more chances like Samsung does which actually BUILDS THINGS.

Couldn't have said this better myself.

I don't see how any tech enthusiast could hate Samsung so much considering what they do to pioneer new technology. They don't always get it right (who does?) but when they do, it really makes a splash. For all those 6 and especially 6+ owners, you think these phones would exist if Samsung didn't make larger devices popular?

It's a shame people's pettiness, bias, and blind loyalty make them hate a company like Samsung. I'm an Apple fan (previous iPhone 4-6 owner) and use their macs exclusively (I barely know how to use Windows) and I am still secure and confident enough to respect most of what Samsung does.

That's what a true tech enthusiast would do.

Respecting companies that have no identity and blatantly steal and copy year after year isn't our problem it's yours.

I'm so mad I'm not a true tech enthusiast as you say. However a true tech enthusiast doesn't typically look into Samsung smartphones. Nexus is more tech enthusiast. Samsung is more cookie cutter.

Also if youre a true "tech enthusiast" why don't you know how to operate windows?

Very few people actually hate Samsung though guys. I think we all own at least one of their products and the only reason these discussions get petty is because people like to justify their purchases. I don't think hate is the right word. Most of these discussions are about the littlest features etc but in all honesty I think most of us are tech enthusiasts who appreciate what every company brings to the table. This thread was just a bit of fun I think. :)

This. Seriously this seemed like it was suppose to be a light hearted thread that people took way too seriously. I don't get why people can be so touchy about these things.
