Im only really interested in the server version.
Im hoping for a Quad Core CPU, with at least HD4000 graphics (dedicated would be even better but not really necessary fo me), and USB3 ports.
Stick the above in and Im sold.

Server version here too - dual hard-drives, quad-core, etc. Like you, a dedicated GPU would be nice, but the HD 4000 should be a pass. I don't know why they don't make a dual-drive quad-core consumer model; maybe they will with ivy-bridge?

Seems like Ive been waiting ages!!! I have no rush to get one, as I have my current MBP to use anyway - its more a luxury purchase then a necessity - but Im just getting impatient now!!

Been tempted to just buy the current version, but I'd be gutted if the updated components came out a few weeks later at aroundthe same price!

USB 3 and support for 16GB RAM, as well as the better GPU means the current model isn't even an option.

My Macbook 13" was kind of dated when I bought as it was the last of Mac's which still had a Core 2 Duo. At the time though, it was the cheapest and best value. The Mini's were similarly spec'd and priced, so for just a little extra, why not get the screen, keyboard, track pad, and generally portability of the 13" Macbook Pro.

The current one does 16 Gb.
And remember, the next one is due in 2013, so that is a long wait.
And there won't be quad Ivy's, and there won't be dedicated GPU's.
The mini is gonna shrink because of Ivy, instead of improving performance. The current one is too expensive to ship and to mill with all the hollow room inside.

Expect a 12x12x3 to 15x15x3 cm dual core i7 with 3 USB 3 ports, 2 TB ports, an AC port, an audio port, 256Gb SSD, 4Gb soldered RAM, with BTO option to expand to 16Gb.

If that is not your like, buy the current i5 Radeon one as it is in discount very often nowadays for close to base model prizes.

Purely speculation of course. ;)
I think we'll see one this year. It doesn't make sense to leave the mini until 2013 when the components for it are available now.
