A second handed M1 Pro would be 3 years old, so the battery could be an issue (mine is at 84% health)
Apple’s refurbished units come with brand new batteries no matter how old they are.
The M1 iPad Pro is available from Apple refurbished right now, if you purchase it, it will come with a brand new battery.

Im only saying this because OP is thinking about sacrificing 2 very good iPads for 1 larger one, so might as well get the best tech available especially the OLED screen and he/she wont have to change it again for at least 5 years. The iPad Air m2 13 is great also.
To be fair it’s a nearly 7 year old Pro and 3 year old mini. I agree the M4 Pro is a great model. I would go with the 11” since he has an 11” and mini today. The 13” is a big step up in size.

I have both of these devices and was considering taking advantage of the apple bonus trade for a new iPad. It’s mostly for playing games, watching movies on the plane/travel. Thoughts? Worth the trade? I don’t need both iPads, I like both size for different reasons, always been a fan of the mini for travel but also love the screen size on the 11 for games and media consumption.
When the M2 iPad Air was released, I traded in my iPad mini 6 for it. Previous to that mini, I had used an iPad Air, a 2nd gen 11" iPad Pro, an earlier gen mini, and the original iPad.

I had wanted a 13" iPad for a long time, but just couldn't justify spending the money for another iPad Pro for my usage. I felt like the 13" M2 was finally going to fit my needs/wants.

The 13" M2 Air is great overall, but I honestly wish I had went back to the 11" size instead. I really feel like the 11" is a better overall combination of decent size while retaining reasonable portability.

That’s definitely true for refurbished units by Apple. I was commenting on the advice to buy a “second hand” unit elsewhere.
I get maytbe 5-6 hours SOT from mine of the same age.
That depends on several factors: your battery health and your usage being the most important. Mine is at 83% of health (you can check yours with an easy shortcut like THIS ) and I can definitely see the difference comparing to a new unit.
