Just asking...

How much is my Sprint 16 gig iphone worth if I sell it? I'm looking for at least 325 for it, is that too high?

Is it an iphone 5? $325 is extremely low. I would go closer to $450 and would be firm at that price.

Get it unlocked and allow overseas buyers and you'll probably get a lot more for your iPhone.

For a GS4 I'd do a straight swap if you want to go that route. The phones have the same value.

Is this a good deal? He only want 400 for it new in box kinda low but I don't have the case. Is this a good trade?

I say that is a crappy deal. Hell look on ebay what an iphone 5 with a clean esn/imei is going for right now. Vs what you would pay for an S4. I guarantee you the iphone 5 is going for more. Even if it is an S4, iphones tend to hold much more value than android phones. So it looks like the other person is making out good for that deal.

I'm looking on my local craigslist and the lowest I see is $425 for a sprint 16gb iphone 5, and I am sure they are probably selling within the hour of posting.

what you see listed and what sells are 2 very different things on craigslist. I see hundreds of same listings for iphone 5 just keep renewing over and over again without selling. Ebay usually sells the highest so if OP is seeing $330 range on ebay then its going to be less on CL.

IMO you a crazy if you take less than $425 for a 5.

Huh? OP has a 16GB sprint iphone 5. Thats basically the lowest priced iphone 5 out of all providers. Brand new S4 for $400 is a very good deal considering that they are selling in 500 range currently. S4 right now is worth more than 16GB iphone model. Its worth more than att and verizon 16GB models. Once 5s comes out then 5s will be worth more and 5 will drop further in price than it is now.

haha u can ask all you want but it doesn't mean someone will buy it. also depends on where you are. markets are different in different areas. one market area doesn't represent another market area.

go for it, s4 is much better, larger, faster, etc. and the next iphone will be unveiled in sep which may also affect the iphone's value.

Yes, CL is great to see what people are ASKING for a device. By definition, if it's listed it's probably still in the sellers hands. Plus most CL deals have some amount of negotiation, so the actual sales price will pretty much always be lower than the lowest tier asking prices.

I typically don't even bother contacting the people who ask way to much on CL. Nearly always it's somone hung up on what they paid for the item forgetting that's irrelevant; all that counts is what buyers are willing to pay.

Go to ebay to see what people are really paying, but be sure to look carefully at the details of several auctions. Then backtrack to the seller's cash-in-pocket after fees and aim to split the difference when buying on CL.

Yes especially being on sprint. I've been offered a one but I don't want to give up my iphone for that no offense to one users.

I'm also in Miami which doesn't really have great employment nor wages so I'm seeing alot of s4s selling for 450 and alot of them don't even sell.

what does employment and iphone vs s4 have to do with anything in miami? Not being rude, really curious.

Iphone5 and s4 are equal in value

I absolutely love it. I after a week rooted and put CM10.1 on it and I am truly enjoying the phone. I thought the plastic body would bother me (I'm an engineering nut) but I it truly feels good in the hand including how light it is.

Best piece of advice I can give is don't give up. I posted my iPhone up for trade just as a shot in the dark and after a few people tried to offer Note IIs suddenly the golden S4 trade showed up.

Good luck!

The iphone 5 is still worth more. Well maybe cause he has Sprint it is worth less. I just sold a black verizon iphone 5, jailbroken with ios 6 on it. Perfect condition, like new. And it went for upwards of about $500 on ebay. With the case and accessories. So yes they do keep their value. If you look at listings for newer phones like the htc one and s4, it is hard to find one going for a good chunk, unless it is practically like new in box. And my point is, if i for example had an s4 compared to an iphone, that a few months down the road. It would depreciate alot faster than if i had an iphone 5. Which holds it value longer.

Careful on trading in your phone -- you might want a back-out path if you find the S4 isn't for you.

After all, the other guy is wanting an iphone and getting rid of the S4... :D

I want to trade my iPhone 4S for s4
