Transfer Data from MBP to new MBA?

What is the best process for starting this again? Is there a bunch of junk now on the new computer? Should I do a total new OS install just in case?

Not sure if it's necessary, but I'd erase and reinstall.

So, what is the best choice? Time Machine or wireless Migration Assistant? Is one faster than the other, or is there any advantage one way or the other? Time Machine is looking better to me right now, but I am very non-techy so am not sure.
