Transferring AppleCare from one iPhone to another.

hi guys, sometime in october, i got a 16gb black 3gs, then a month later i sent it back for the following reasons, i accidentally jailbroke it, it had scratches, and i needed more memory. dont ask how i accidentally jb'ed it. anyway my dad had bought applecare on the original one, now a few weeks later i tried to transfer the warranty over the phone, but the guy wrote down the wrong email address. so now its not transferred. but i would really like to transfer this so i can get my phone fixed when and if it breaks. can any of you tell me if this is possible to do online, or at the applestore, and if so can you tell me how? thanks in advance!

in any case, so what if it was jailbroken, that shouldn't be a consideration, restoring with apple firmware gets rid of all signs of jailbreaking afaik.
