Question? If I'm using tether me to allow devices to connect to my phone and If i use the My3G will this make my phone think its using wifi instead of my regular data, when thesedevices are connected to my phone?

No.
They have nothing to do with eachother.
You cannot trick the carrier to think that you're using wifi, they are still measuring on their end every KB of data that you use and there is no hack for that
