I was exactly the same as you...exactly! I spent months researching and reading everything I could get my hands on. I was convinced that I had to get the Mac Pro. When I ordered the iMac I literally felt sick to my stomach that I had made a horrible mistake.

Now that I have it I feel very good about the decision I made...the form factor is brilliant, it's more than fast enough for me and it cost me nearly $1000 less than the Mac Pro would have and that is significant.

I'm not saying that you should do the same thing...you may have usage needs more demanding than mine.

Old thread, I know, but I experienced the exact same thing today. It was pretty obvious to me, but it seems I'm always overly critical on stuff.
