LOL! It's not Final Cut!
To get around the inability to split a clip, I simply trim the end of the clip then re-drop it on the timeline and trim the beginning. It's clunky, but it works.

No! Does anyone know of an app to do this? I found 1 in the app store, but the reviews were iffy.
