If I sit in a room with artificial light, look at a white sheet of paper and toggle Truetone on and off, white on my phone matches the paper pretty much 100% with Truetone on.

Definitely on. Especially great during the evening where non-True Tone devices look ghostly blue compared to the X, which looks way more organic.

I love True Tone. I have it on my MacBook Pro as well. Always turned on. I hate the bluish tint when it's off, hurts my eyes.

I really disliked it at first. But once I got used to it, it’s the non-True Tone screens that look “off” now.

I think it is a little easier on the eyes.
Yep, this.

I hated it at first. Always preferred cooler colors on my screens. But after trying it out for a week, I found it was significantly better and much easier on the eyes. Now when I use my iPad it is very jarring and looks awful. I have to turn on night mode just to relax my eyes.

Funny thing. Had it off as I started reading this topic. Turned it on at half way the topic and man was it yellow to my eyes. When I got near end of the topic the yellow tint seemed to disappear. Don't know is it because the lightning in the room is whitish or that my eyes got used on it? Gonna keep it on for time being.

All of the above. It’s most noticeable after the immediate change. Your eyes will thank you later

I have it off because I don't like the color temperature of my phone changing. It's already going to be a task to get used to the off axis viewing color shift of the OLED display.

As someone who reads on their phone for hours? On. Definitely. I've gotten used to it now and can't stand devices without it! :(

There’s also the whole thing about blue light blinding you later in life..

I keep it on regardless. Don’t really know about the blind thing but I keep it warmer these days just in case.

True tone on, I'm trying to preserve my eyes for as long as possible. No thanks to digital eyestrain and retina damage/degeneration caused by blue light.

I have it on, I had it on for my 8+ as well, but I'm with you on the color shift thing. It's jarring to me, and much worse with True Tone on...That said, I prefer the easier on the eyes straight on viewing with True Tone on, so I'll deal with it for now.
