It was not that cheap... About $1,200

Yup, $1,200 is a lot of cash.

This is what blows my mind. I get why people buy $300 eMachines and "top end" $600 boxes at costco or best buy, but given the choice between a HP for $1200 and even the bottom level iMac for the same price, how can you even consider the PC?

Just wanted to add to what he said.

I am amazed how often people cheapen out on purchasing technology when they're faced with a $1,200 decision. Like I have previously stated, that kind of cash is a lot of money and I understand. I too like stretching my money as much as possible. But why did you make that purchase decision in the first place then come here and say you regret purchasing the HP? I'm sure at the time that Apple had an iMac comparably priced and spec'd as your HP. What I don't get is why people would purchase a $1,200 "high end" Windows box when they can shell out the extra three, four, five, or even six hundred dollars and get an iMac instead. It makes no sense to me why you would try to save the few hundred dollars at the time of purchase to begin with then regret it a few months later.

sorry to hear about your buyer's remorse ... dump it on craig's list and get the iMac you want ... the sooner you get rid of it the better.

good luck

Are there as such any big disadvantages in purchasing it, as i find it really useful and reliable.

Its sounds like he just don't like it anymore now that the wow factor of the touch screen wore off. Marketing is truely the demon to our wallets..
