I'm adding to this 2013 thread as I've been having a advert issue recently on iOS9.3.1, with a particular Radio app, mentioning no names.
have any MacRumors-ists seen these sort of interstitial (pop-over) adverts - obviously fake "
YOU HAVE VIRUS" or "
YOU HAVE WON $$$" on any other apps within the Apple ecosphere?
I'm attaching some iPhone screengrabs of the 'attacks' - I obfuscated the embedded URLs just in case they are evil , don't want any malware to spread through this vector, I've no idea what was supposed to happen when I clicked the blue OK button on the interstitial badvert, as I just turned off my phone.
I found these personally to be deceptive and disruptive adverts, but despite a chat with Apple & emails with the Radio app - I haven't understood how pervasive these sort of attacks are?
(Yes, i have the paid for 'old' version of whichever radio App I'm using and I'm not supposed to see any at all, never mind bad ones!)
In (bad) Italian for fun, but I'm sure you'll understand it says "that Safari on my device has a virus and I have to click OK to learn how to remove it. . . . "
has anyone else seen these, they have arrived in the last 2 weeks. . .
ciao , David
