This is beyond an awful idea. It seems like you don’t have much experience with LLMs because if you did you’d quickly realize that you are smarter than all of them. These programs have the veneer of sophistication but they aren’t “thinking” in the sense that we are. They are mostly useful for low complexity actions.In time, we might consider it for our judicial systems too.
There are plenty of people on the internet who are very good at learning the rules of a site and staying just within the letter of the rule while breaking in part or whole the spirit of them and they confound even human moderators many times. Put AI in charge of moderation and within a few days those would be the only people left.
As for using AI to replace judges and lawyers, god no. They would be great for summarizing case history or other research needs (and even then the current state of AI is so poor that you’d have to double check its work anyway), but leaving decisions that affect people’s lives in such significant ways would be a great way to destroy the fabric of society.
