How about have a separate small rechargeable battery to power the find my feature?
Rechargeable batteries aren’t the bees knees of everything. A significant challenge they can pose in this scenario is temperature management. A GaN charger can get pretty warm putting out high wattage. It would have to throttle to ensure battery temperatures stay within safe ranges…

I’d be annoyed that my expensive charger can’t output its rated max continuously due to it needing a battery for this feature.

and when said rechargeable battery invariably fails, i guess your plan is just kamikaze your own $100+ charger as the spicy pillow swells until it catches fire? you know such a device will not be user serviceable.

Does anyone has the 120W version? I had it and it gets noticeably warm even with no devices connected to it when it’s plugged in to the outlet. This is strange in my opinion. When I connected Apple MagSafe Duo and charged iPhone and Apple Watch it started to be a bit hot and this charger only takes like 20W-ish. I sent it back and am wondering if my unit was faulty or this is normal for this product. If it is normal, I would expect throttling when person connects devices which request more power.
