Two painful months with the M1 MBP 8GB/512GB

What protocol? As far as I’m aware, they use regular Bluetooth.

W1/H1 for improved connectivity/control on top of BT.

Interestingly I have an mx master also. It repeatedly Bluetooth on windows 10 with the work issued HP laptop which requires me to pair it again. It does however run fine on my Mac.

I think the Logitech wireless isn’t the most reliable.
