Does anyone have a heads-up, as to when the UK iPad App Store will go live?
I guess it'll be on the launch day, or just before, but I hope it's sooner.
Having to browse iPad apps on my PC and syncing them every time, is a chore.

What do you mean? iPad apps are already on the UK store.

Yes, they're in the UK store when I browse them on desktop iTunes, but when I click the App Store icon on my iPad, I get pop-up boxes saying: The App Store is not available in your country."
:(
The iTunes app works perfectly, though.

Oh I get it. Like you said I imagine it would be the 28th, or a day or two beforehand. Patience :D

Yup, I noticed this morning that my iPad was showing app updates available. No sign of iBooks yet though.

I'm still waiting for the desktop version of iTunes to be properly updated. I know I can get the apps now, but I would like some form of organisation to it as opposed to trawling through. Does anyone have a way they organise their search for apps?

Ahh, so it's finally up! (I'd like to think I had something to do with that, but I know there's no chance of that, lol).
Yeah i imagine it's to shaft anyone avoiding to wait to buy it the UK lol
LOL, yeah. I wouldn't be surprised. I paid honest money for mine, so they can go to hell, if that were true. :D

yes! why is the app store so crap to navigate!
sort by rating would me a nice addition

apple, chop chop TAGL

NZ store is working too. iBooks store opens, but the shelves are empty. In-app purchasing is working more consistently now as well.

It will come next week a la the US store has it. The iWork apps will probably arrive at the same time, but I really don't see the big deal of doing it now  I reckon they will divide the app store when they update on Monday night as per usual.

Ahh well ... back to impulse buying .... i've been missing not being able to browse the store but on the other hand its made me consider more each purchase until i could get home to the computer at weekends ...

Now i can make those snap decisions again which often lament :)

Nice, can't wait to get home and see what is on offer.

They have allowed access to need for speed etc but not apple apps. Sucks

When you say the iPad App Store has gone live in the UK, is this iPad native apps and in their own specific labelled section within iTunes ?

I don't see this myself to be honest.

No on the ipad if like me you have one the app store till today displayed a nice bugger off message. Now it let's you in to purchase apps.

Before the workaround was to find apps via iTunes on your mac or pc and sync them over which was a pain the the rs.
