UK/Europe order/delivery thread MBA 2012

Does "Requested Delivery Date" mean when it's supposed to be delivered to me, or does it say that it should be in Amsterdam at that point?

I'm a little confused as I'm being told by Apple that it's supposed to be here on July 3rd, although I wouldn't mind getting it the 22nd :)

Requested delivery date is for Apple.

No email, but ups tracking info on the order status page now with delivery for tomorrow. It better be in good condition after al the problems just getting it.
 
Just came back from a 3 hour break and I'm pleasantly surprised that I've finally got a UPS shipment! The date changed to the 21st June now too (tomorrow)!!! So happy! I guess my prediction was right all along ;) :D

Wow just checked the tracking info and it was on the van for delivery at 5.22am!!!!!!!

Guidimax, I'm in the same boat. My MBA arrived at Amsterdam airport Tuesday evening and hasn't moved since. We both have an requested delivery date for tomorrow afternoon. That's the date by which Apple (or rather their merging facility) expects to receive it. So I guess the shipping company can basically keep having our orders sit round until sometime tomorrow morning. :(

What I don't understand is why Apple allows shipping to their European merging facilities to take so long. Orders to the US are rushed from China and keep moving once they pass US customs. European orders seem to take forever to move once they arrive at a European airport. Add to that the fact that European shipping agents apparently never work over weekends. Ugh. :mad:
 
My 13" 8GB i5 with 128GB hard drive is out for delivery. I ordered it with the giftcard and educational pricing on the 12th.

I am a little bit disappointed in the amount of time it's taken to deliver, but it turns out it will be here within Apples original estimate so I can't really fault it. Can't wait now though!
 
My Status just changed: Estimated Arrival at Prague: 8:07 CEST

As you just said, how can it be that a Parcel from Frankfurt to Prague takes so long... from 19th at 17:00 to the 21th at 8:07 (hopefully)!

Nevertheless, finally something is happening with my Air+GC :)

Wow, it's already on vehicle for delivery and just past Leeds at half 6 this morning! Was thinking it would arrive close to 7pm due to being end of the day! It's nearly in York now! Loving UPS so much right now! :D

9:30 ish on the 11th... Sorry for the delay have been migrating...

Still have to sort out the jungle that is my music library and figure out why lion won't stay connected to my netatalk shares when sl did... it needs a connect to server in finder pretty regularly...

Love the screen on the air as opposed to the mb... enough for more as opposed to going with rmbp...
 
I'm supposed to get my 13" Air 8GB i7 July 3rd. All this waiting slowly kills me!

Placed my order the 14th, but i changed my keyboard settings from norwegian to swedish (a swede living in Norway) so they had to first make an order, then cancel it and change it to a swedish order(?). That sounds kinda special.
 
Just received a call from a nice lady at Apple customer services, thanking for the email to Mr Cook and apologising the delay and confusion to a longstanding Apple customer. She's promised it'll be delivered today and is going to call back later to ensure I've received delivery.

Can't say fairer than that, and only goes to enhance Apple's customer service reputation in my eyes.

I think they've probably had a good few emails and kicked things into action. The difference between yesterday afternoon and this morning suggests somebody has pulled strings to make things happen for me and others it seems.
 
Oh ok. Thought you might somehow have more detailed tracking. Mine left Preston around 5.30. Ups seem to be around here late morning early afternoon but they don't usually start that early. Having said that they are probay busy today! I'll post when it arrives!
 
Arrived! There goes the midsummer...

Oh, beware of "Failed Delivery" UPS scam emails going around, with an attached .zip trojan. I got one this morning.

MBA13/128/8. Ordered on the 13th, delivery on the 20th. It sat in and near Cologne for almost three days, one of which seem to have been customs procedures. No vouchers or anything, and it was the only item in my order. Apple had predicted delivery "between 21st and 25th".

UPS just delivered to my house and I have the MBA in my possession :D estimated delivery date was Saturday, so it's come 2 days early. Seeing as it actually landed in London last Saturday though, I'm disappointed that it's taken 5 days since then!
 
Well I got my UPS code last night and its now on a van for delivery today.

Now I just have to look busy at work till it arrives :D

damn! so mine will arrive in London this saturday - no chance of getting it by monday then ? :(

Ordered the 13/8/128 a few minutes after the Keynote and my MBA is on the same van as yours, also waiting for delivery in York! Apple must be putting something in the water ;)
