Don't think anything happens on the weekend unless they specially request it. You'll have your tracking number on Monday and hopefully you should receive it the same day.
Finally, i will get my Macbook Air 13/8/128 + GC on Monday.
here a sum up of my Delivery Status:
Ordered on Thursday 14th at 10am
Shipped on Saturday 16th, approx. 48 hours after ordering
Estimated Delivery date 27th

On Friday 22nd i got the UPS number and a new estimated delivery date to my home in Austria/Graz, which is the 25th now! So, 2 days before the estimated date by Apple.
I am sooo excited. Just one more day...

My status has been changed to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date" with an estimate in Sweden on the 28th. Apple got it on the 22nd so hopefully I'll get it a day early or two ^^
Don't have any final tracking information though, I suppose that doesn't get updated until UPS or whoever delivers the final shipment to me picks the package up at Apple?

I ordered on the 18th June with a delivery estimate of the 25th June and it still says "order processing". Not amused in the slightest.

no merging, i ordered just the MBA because i need it quickly as i'll be abroad the next two weeks.

It is usually merged at the facility at Venray/Eindhoven. Then it goes by truck to Cologne and by plane to Malmo (Sturup) or Stockholm (Arlanda). Alternatively, by truck via Germany and Denmark to southern Sweden. That takes 24 - 48 hours.
On the expo page, what does it say for "Requested Delivery Date"? That's the date by which it should arrive at the merging facility. Merging takes 24-48 hours. Nothing happens over weekends.

Mine left Amsterdam to the merging facility in Eindhoven on the 19th. Then it went with UPS this way.

The slow mover in this long process of delivery is Apple who has been sitting on their lazy *******. UPS has been swift and so was China Cargo from Shanghai to Amsterdam. If it hadn't been for the midsummer holiday here in Sweden I would have had it on Friday, now UPS expects it to be at my door before closing of business today. I live in Bromma, 15 minutes from the UPS facility in Järfälla. The original delivery estimate from Apple was the 28th (ordered on the night of the 12th), but UPS will now have it here on the 25th, and as I wrote, it has not at all been thanks to Apple. My MBA was merged with a TimeCapsule in Amsterdam/Eindhoven.

How the hell do I track my shipment, ive tried UPS and expo, neither have any details, ordered 18th, delivery on or before 28th, any help appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Apple promised June 28 and it looks like you're getting it today, so Apple is actually 3 days early. The fact that it was sitting around for three days has nothing to do with Apple. UPS didn't do squat over midsommar as a result of your labor laws. No offense, but IMHO that's a problem Swedes have only themselves to blame for and it's entirely out of reach of Apple or UPS.

No, this means Expeditors are now delivering this to Apple, most likely tamworth, birmingham. They will then pass on to UPS within about 24 hours
OK, I was not complaining about Midsummer holiday. The thing is, Apple requested merging delivery on the 19th, while the computer was already in Amsterdam since the 16th (3 days), AND they then sat on the merged packages for another 26 hours before pick-up from UPS. That is what I'm complaining about. And yes, it arrives most likely 2-3 days ahead of schedule which is not thanks to Apple, but UPS and because the original Apple estimate was ridiculously long, ie 16 days from the 12th to the 28th.
Yes, I did buy in any case so you can say that I knew already it would take long but I'm still disappointed with their really slow turn around. Apple do for sure have a lot to learn in the Supply Chain department.
If i miss the delivery which is highly likely, will they automatically try the next day? Or can i leave instructions?
They will make three attempts, and after each they will leave you a note so that you get a chance to change delivery place or agree on you picking up the package at their location.

Had a delivery update. They've changed the delivery date from the 25th June to 13th July! What the hell, Apple? Piss-poor service.
I wouldn't accept that. I would call them up and demand a reasonable explanation as to why the order has been delayed.
The same happened to me. Mine was delayed from 22nd June to 25th June. I called up and they arranged priority weekend shipping and I got it on Sat 23rd June.
I'll give them a ring as soon as I finish work! That would make it a month from ordering to actually receiving my MacBook Air! I hope I get something sorted otherwise I won't be ordering Apple products online anymore.
