Fantastic service that will surely only get better when they optimise the stream for iPad. Thanks for the link OP.

One of my favourite websites, delighted its working on the iPad. Interface is good too, showing which programmes are on each channel. Have to say, the streaming rate has been fine for me and picture more than watchable.

It launched a couple of days ago, there was a thread on this earlier - I quite like it, just waiting for the Higher Quality streams now.

They must've just put the redirect for iPads on today, because I used it yesterday and got the iPhone stream.

Some streams don't seem to work, but it is early days I suppose. Damn, now I really don't need my TV or my laptop 99% of the time.

The reason it's legal is that there is a 1 minute delay on the streams so therefore it's technically not "live" tv and there's a loophole that allows this to be done.

It's all above board and completely legal.
As it's not 'live' do you still need a TV licence in the Uk to use it? I do have a licence (yes really!) but I'm just curious. If not, it would be great for students who currently have to buy a licence and can't use their TV on their parent's licence.

Incidentally, are their TV licences in other countries? Or is it just the UK where even the breath we take is taxed?

It is live, to a relative degree - you see a delay in all iPhone/iPad websites/apps that show live streams. They are legal if you read their Wikipedia, they were shut down before for illegal streaming without licenses or whatnot, and returned again - Went through an investigation and were cleared.

As for the TV license, you will need one as it's live, and it says that on their forums.
