There’s a small gap at the top between the phone and case. Other than that it fits rather snug.
It’s 14 days to initiate the return (which you can do via the app) and then another 14 days to get it to them.
Leather case arrived, better late than never.
RM obviously overloaded, usually they deliver before 12pm every day, today it was 3:45.
As others have said, the new leather cases are really nice, the leather grain is very fine and i'm such a fan of the squarer edges.
eSIM arrived too so I'm ready for Friday.

Yeah, the ESR are edge to edge. I wouldn’t recommend them though. Couldn’t get one to go on perfectly. There were always imperfections on the edges and lumps in the glass, I gave up after the 4th. It’s strange as the ESR screen protectors on both my iPad Pros have been perfect and went on flawlessly.
Gone back to spigen and the quality is loads better, they are just a bit smaller with a cutout for the notch and about 2mm around the screen.
The edges feel smooth to me, but the sides of the Apple silicone case sit proud of the face of the phone so it is a bit recessed. The lint is probably a function of my not doing more than a quick swipe on my sleeve before taking those photos after having had the phone lying face down on the fuzzy blanket in the photo. The silicone case has a nice feel but is a bit of a dust/lint magnet...
That is strange - my sister got one for her phone and went on perfectly first time.

Straight out the box, apple protector off the phone, ESR protector on. Perfect fit, no dust and no bubbles. You can't even tell I have a screen protector on
I am interested for edge to edge screen protector. What’s stopping me is a bit of hurdle to clean the lint/dust in top speaker.
Has anyone tried with compressed air duster to clean it out? Used to try with IPA/cotton bud cleaning but the recess is too small for cottonsbud.

Yeah, it was very strange. Maybe it’s a bad batch, I’ve seen a few people mention the same. Went straight on out the box too. On one of them the corner wouldn’t even stick and kept lifting.
Might try them again as I do like the fact they are full screen.
I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere as to whether the 12 pro max & mini comes with iOS 14.1 or 14.2. Could be 14.2, as they would have had time to get them loaded with it (based on kernel date it could be done, as similar timescales to other releases vs product shipping).
Seems 14.1 as some people have checked when the phone was assembled which was beginning to mid october when 14.1 was out.

I think your best bet is to order from John Lewis on Friday morning as soon as orders go live, I think 8am (someone correct me if I’m wrong). You won’t get it day of release but you will get it next day which is probably the earliest you’ll get right now.
I used the iPad Air to get me through to the pre-order of the 12PM whilst everyone else got their 12s
