It does sound like EE are telling you porkies there just to get you off the phone. From all the stories I've read over the last day or two, there's been a lot of unhappy customers over there. Assuming there's plenty who have had their launch day run smoothly as well though.

How does the "Rep" over the phone know something is wrong with the screens the boxes are not even opened or even delivered to EE they do make laugh the excuses are hilarious...

No, nothing out of the ordinary, they specifically said they were confused as nothing has flagged up as fraudulent and (as you say) that’s usually the reason for this. So who knows :)
 
For you folks that have collected your iPhones and applied the Belkin ultra glass…how much was the screen protector? Is it something like £39? Trying to load my Apple account balance with the exact amount lol
