I literally would have done that exact swap with you because I am looking to go the other way 😂 Have a 256GB Pro Natural Titanium and looking for a Max.

I thought in store it felt like there wasn't much of a difference between Max and Pro. What made you change?

I just can’t get used to the balance in my hand, always feels too heavy. My wife has a Max and thought this was going to be the year to give it a go. I have big hands, I’m 6’ 5”, but how I hold the phone it just leave me feeling like I’ll drop it and definitely can’t use it one handed with constantly shuffling your hand about. Plus it‘s starting to aggravate my arthritis at the base of my thumb…getting old!
All down to the pros and cons and the pros over the smaller phone, for me wasn’t enough. I’ll forego the bigger screen and 5x lens which were my two pros. Everything else I’m happy with the smaller phone. Back on my 11P and I feel back in my comfort zone 🤓
Taken advantage of the price change and ordered it with AppleCare, in titanium natural, going naked! Every cloud 🤪

That's really helpful thanks. I have tried it extensively in store and I can just about one hand it but not comfortably (similar build to you).

I think I want a change from the normal sized Pro and lately have been doing a lot of travel so the additional battery life and screen size might be helpful. Would be funny if I return it after basically keeping a look out for one to pop up in store for 3 days straight!

I’m thinking about going the other way, from the Pro up to the Pro Max. It seems to be a good bit lighter this year, but the physical size is still worrying me.

Like others have said, I’m at that age where I’d like a bigger screen to help with my eyes, so maybe the trade-off with size will be worth it.

Of course, actually buying a Pro Max just now is impossible so its a bit of a moot point!

The battery life is certainly a big plus if you need it. I'm pretty comfortable with the shorter life of the smaller phone. Been battling it for years on my old 11 so have plenty of charging capabilities if I get caught short, battery banks, in car charging etc.

My wife has her font size set to max on her Max, looks bonkers but it saves her putting her glasses on every time she wants to look at her phone

I also have one for travelling, it’s really good for travel as less cords needed.

I use my old Apple double charger thing for travelling - even smaller and can do phone, watch and AirPods (when needed)

Yep mine arrived about an hour ago also. All fully setup now - it looks very nice but you are right, it’s very grey, not at all like apples promo shots.
I’m happy as I was a bit wary I might not like the champagne kind of look - so all worked out for the best!
