Bought the 16 pro max outright, 256gb gold colour whatever it's called, yesterday on the 18th September as it started 20 September delivery. Got confirmation email which also stated 20 September while confirming the order went through. An hour later a follow up email states 17 October. Pissed, but I should have known.

Today, the 19th I called to complain. As I'm complaining the site still states 20 September delivery date as of 9am while customer service is apologising and telling me it'll be 17th October

They've just now as of 9:30am on the 19th September, the day before iPhone 16 is released, decided to changed their site after I complained to 17 October!

They'll now hold my money hostage for 5 working days. Annoying pillocks.

Yeah they're trash now but hardly surprising since their merge with Currys back in 2014.. Back in the good old days before that they were the GOAT.

I've gotten my information for my new contract with EE, however one thing I've noticed it's showing as the full price rather than the discount that I negotiated last week when I mentioned Three's tariffs, surely that only because it's a new contract and their system has to update. Anyone else have a similar update?

I've also got a message that it's also with DPD which is good. But if my discount doesn't get applied then I'll be returning the phone. Not paying £90 a month for a plan with no extras.

Discounts are applied to your plan after the fact, the new contract info will always state the base contact you have applied, discounts will show as active mobile addons

You are very much welcome to it lol. I can't be doing with the pre-order process every year and shopping for cases. Part of me wishes I'd bought a 15 Pro Max just for the convenience and faster turnaround. It doesn't feel quite as exciting as it was in 2012 to 2016 for me.

Last year I received the email from Apple to say it had been shipped was at 11:43am last year and the DPD tracking didn’t become active until 2:46pm.

Yeah just from all the past upgrades they wipe the old phone before allowing the new one to be setup. I guess I’ll ask before it happens!

After watching the reviews I’m 90% certain I’ll be returning mine.

Just going to see how much the increased weight bothers me, and if the camera is enough of an upgrade.

They’re usually a waste of money. Apple’s Sapphire lens has been shown to be vastly more durable and less detrimental to the optics. But to answer your question, there are plenty on Amazon, some swear by Spigen

None. Any lens protector you use will degrade, even if slightly, the quality of your pics. The glass on the lens are the strongest possible - they don't really get scratched...

I just contacted EE as i’ve had nothing since the xko number/ calling to confirm order.

They said order is placed and just need to be patient. Should get a DPD notification soon.

I was given 10th October when I ordered on Saturday afternoon (512GB PM Black). Their dates have been all over the place this week though from what I've seen. They really need to have some kind of online order tracker to get the latest status

I'm still hoping that the stock dates are conservative and I'll get a DPD notification but I know I'm probably kidding myself here
