This is my first time getting DHL, I can track my order in MyO2 and I can see it’s at Runcorn depot but when I actually try to track it in the DHL app it says the tracking ref is invalid. I’m guessing it’ll go live later?
Launch day stock is available now, it seems pretty easy to get one for today if you are awake

Does anyone know if you can reserve for store using the iUP process but then swap to paying in full when I store. I don’t want to used iUP but would like to reserve

Apple Birmingham only has Pros in stock in all variants as of now. No Pro Maxes in stock at all. Very interesting. Does that mean the Pro Max is the most popular choice this year?
Not all memory / colour combos, but my nearest store (Cribbs Causeway, Bristol) has four Pro Max (natural + black x 512 + 1TB) and all non-Max variants available today.
Should I be surprised by this? I haven’t done this launch day thing before, so don’t know if this is unusual or not. Isn’t what I would have expected, certainly.
(I’ve got a non-Max Pro arriving with DPD, supposedly today, replacing an X ….)
That’s how I got my store in Reading as before was having to go Southampton. Revered a iPhone 256 dresert gold max.
Mine said 8-15 but was updated last on Wednesday night to 24th Sept.
I called yesterday and they said they’ll keep an eye out for any extra pro max’s and emailed them first thing again today. But I’m not holding my breath now, tempted to even cancel and hold off altogether as I only justified the upgrade due to me going on holiday.
It’s normal, launch day stores always have stock and it’s still early which means people are not yet awake. Every year is like this but in bigger cities you have to try really really early, in London now for example there are no PM available anymore at 6:56 but at 6 I am sure there were. I usually buy mine every year at 6am on launch day if I miss preorder or if I have colour regret from preorder for example.
In other countries it’s easier to get launch day stock if you walk in (Madrid stores usually have stock throughout the day on launch day) but here the appetite for iPhone is bigger I guess.
I missed preorder this year but I still managed to get one PM Desert for pickup in stock at Battersea, on an order placed on Saturday morning. Stock comes and goes a lot I guess is just a matter of trying or waiting for launch day 6am stock lol
I’ve always assumed it’s the regular iPhones that are the most popular, they are the ones that I see the most of out in public. Cost plays a major part for sure.
Yep I think we forget what goes down on a Apple fan forum and on 6am launch day is very different to the vast majority of the public choosing their next phone whenever promoted by their network
