Queue in Brum has cleared out but walk-ins still need to book a time slot and the earliest he can give me is 9:30. He did check and there was availability on 44mm SS silver that was not reserved

Barry from DPD has let me down today, my delivery window is 12:25 - 13:25

It's going to be a very long morning!

Not much luck this year.
iPhones are being delivered by dpd and Apple Watch by Uk mail, both are showing that they are still at the depot , but I think they just haven’t updated the tracking page yet.
The tracking page is automatically updated from the individual couriers POD. So he or she loads their van, signs everything off, has a supervisor sign off their manifest, then the POD optimises the route, locking in the hour time slots, then that is remotely sent back to main system which updates the website.

I've had an email and text from O2 telling me that my phone is at the store ready to collect. At best I'm not going to get there until 5pm today. At worst it'll be Sunday... lets hope my meetings today are swift..

John Lewis handsets only available tomorrow o_O
So i'll be heading into town for 2pm to collect mine. My workplace offer 5% off John Lewis vouchers so it was a no brainer really.
It should be worth the wait.

Probably already mentioned this morning but, for those of us who didn't do the pre-order dance this year but have now decided they want a new XS or XS Max, John Lewis have opened up ordering and as I write have stock of at least the XS Space Grey 64GB that I just ordered for click & collect collection at my local Waitrose from 2:00pm tomorrow (https://www.johnlewis.com/apple-iphone-xs-ios-5-8-4g-lte-sim-free-64gb/p3769035).

My update is now I’m parcel 52. Argh. This could be a close call that I get home in time. Don’t have an exact time yet though!

What do I do?! My S4 Watch reservation at Apple is 11:00 to 11:30 (a 35 min drive away), and my XS Max is due for delivery to me between 11:05 and 12:05!

I could be late for the Watch reservation and guarantee I get delivery of the XS Max, or hope that the delivery will be later than 12:05 and be on time for the Watch.

I’m 100% aware that this was my own dumb planning, haha!

I got the same. They could have made them available from today :D

Call the Apple store, explain and ask for a later or earlier slot?

Go early and explain :) I'm sure they will help you out. Only issue then is if the courier tries to deliver the phone early :p
